EU Customs Changes – July 2021

From the 1st of July 2021 the systems currently in place that govern parcels imported from both the UK and USA into Europe will change, namely the adjustment of VAT charges for Low value parcels. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify some of these changes taking place at the end of this month: On the 1st of July 2021, the 27 member states of the European Union introduce reforms to the VAT obligations for B2C ecommerce sellers and marketplaces. The former EU customs system which included Medium Value parcels (between EUR 22 – EUR 150) is no longer applicable, leaving only Low and High parcel values.
